The Commish blessed us all with the name “Early Dreamers”. Since then, he also developed the 10 commandments honoring those early dreams.
Ten commandments of the commish:
- Thou shalt not mock thy fellow managers for early dreaming of fantasy glory in August. Their optimism is as refreshing as a summer ale.
- Thou shalt dream early – because who needs sleep when you can conquer the league by 6am?
- Thou shalt not scoff at early trade offers, for even the mightiest trade often starts as a humble dream.
- Thou shalt be the first to wake up and the last to nap because dreams wait for no one
- Thou shalt embrace the unexpected. For when you are the only one awake, there’s no one to say “That’s impossible!”
- Thou shalt always have a notepad nearby. Those early dreams are slippery little devils.
- Thou shalt chuckle at preseason rankings, for they are as dependable as a fortune cookie’s prediction of future wealth.
- Thou shalt remember that dreams are fragile, fleeting things, easily shattered by the harsh realities of the world. Do not succumb to the darkness. Continue to dream.
- Thou shalt make trades with a twinkle in thine eye, even if it means parting with a star player for what may turn out to be a bag of enchanted potatoes.
- Thou shalt accept that not all dreams shall be realized, and that’s okay. There’s always the Prime League Podcast to help ease the pain
